LED models comply with EPEAT Gold standards
LG has added to its enterprise monitor line with two low-energy LED models, offering increased energy efficiency and image quality.
The E10 monitors come in screen sizes of 22in with a 16:10 image ratio, and 19in with a 4:3 ratio, and include built-in speakers, and USB, DVI and D-Sub inputs.
The screens are mercury and halogen free and comply with Energy Star 5 specifications. A new backlight system improves energy efficiency by 44 per cent, according to LG.
The company has been criticised in the past for the environmental unfriendliness of its products, and was singled out by Greenpeace in 2010 for what the group said were broken promises to remove toxic materials such as brominated flame retardants.
LG said that the E10 models are fully compliant with EPEAT Gold standards.
